The 2012 Sweep Challenge took place at a small red clay and US-style track in Koraa with nearly 130 drivers from Indonesia, Malaysia and Korea in attendance. Venom team driver Reno Savoya, just coming back from the 2012 World warm-up race in Argentina was also in attendance. Reno went to TQ all qualifying rounds and was well prepared for the night time main final but on the tone the Frenchman ran into trouble by crashing too much and being stuck in traffic. This allowed Dani Choi to open a gab at the front of the pack but Reno was pushing and able to take the lead around the 20 minutes mark. Thanks to 10 minutes fuel stints he was able to retain the lead and to win the 40 minutes final very close from lapping the second place finisher.
Venom team driver Kris Bolin raced this weekend at B&T R/C central in Ft walton beach Fla. He ran a Venom powered electric 8th scale buggy. Kris was able to take the overall TQ and was able to lead from wire to wire and win by over 2 to 3 laps on the field.
Venom team driver Alvin Smith placed 2nd overall in the Pro E-Buggy class at the RC Pro Series Gulf Coast Challenge in Flowood, MI with his Venom powered E-buggy!
Venom team driver Jason Branham takes the win in the 1/8th scale buggy class at the JC Southern Nats. Jason also finished 2nd overall in the 1/8th scale truggy class.
