Avid B44.2 Center Cap

The AVID B44.2 Aluminum Center Cap is a fresh take on the design which keeps your chassis secure and makes the car easier to work on. The AVID design eliminates 4 screws for the original cap and instead directly links the front and rear upper decks with taper mounts that key into the upper decks. The added benefit of this design is that maintenance is simplified, when you only remove 4 screws and the entire upper deck assembly is loose for easy slipper clutch removal.

Specifications

  • Laser Etched Black Aluminum with silver chamfer.
  • Taper mounting bosses to key into front and rear upper deck.
  • 4 screw mounting makes slipper removal extra easy with both upper decks disconnected.
  • Fits any Associated B44.2 (carbon fiber or AVID aluminum chassis).
  • Includes B44.2 Aluminum Center Cap, 4 x 7/16” Flat Head Mount Screws, and AVID decal.

Jconcepts New "Finnisher" EB48 Body

Finnisher - Tekno EB48 body
Part # - 0262
(fits Tekno EB48)
Order yours today!
JConcepts hit the ground in Vaasa, Finland with an all new body design specifically for the IFMAR World Championships.  Cleverly named, Finnisher, the unique design quickly rose to the top of the field during competition and proved effective on the ground and in the air.    Designed with aspects learned from the Punisher line of bodies, the Finnisher provides an even more aggressive look with included details which remain crucial to performance.   The Finnisher body for the Tekno is a drop fit for the newly released EB48 buggy.
The side-pods have been simplified and JC chamfered to remove unwanted changes in height to neutralize the at-speed handling.   Additional clearance has been added for the steering linkage from servo to bell-cranks to give an extra bit of clearance to the body.    The chassis to body fit has been tightened up which eliminates empty voids that contribute to mid-flight directional changes.   The rear of the cab has a new step feature which places dual louvers toward the rear that can be trimmed to allow air to escape at the top of the body.    The rear portion of the side-pod area has been lowered to create another louver which can be trimmed as another avenue to allow heat to escape.     The motor-side of the pods have a direct inlet which can be trimmed and used as another air-flow feature of the body.
Features:
• Race proven JConcepts Finnisher design
• Blended wing / body design
• Unique, stepped, forward cab design
• Side-pod louvers for more air-flow potential
• Additional steering clearance
• Motor-side scoop for direct inlet
• Clear polycarbonate with protective film

Part # - 3356Y
(Fits – Team Associated SC10B)
JConcepts Hazard wheel in narrow width now available for the SC10B front.
Short Course buggies are high-performance racing vehicles and adjustability is always the key to success.    Introducing the Hazard 12mm hex wheel for the front of the SC10B by JConcepts.   A powerful new look that combines the winning combination of a 10 spoke design, bead-lock appearance and center lug nut detail with a hint of inspiration from yesteryear.    The Hazard will make an immediate impact on the performance of the SC10B by widening the stance by 6mm in overall width.   The increased width will maximize the SC10B and bring it up to the SCT ROAR maximum legal limits in dimensional width.
By nature, Short Course vehicles have a high center of gravity and tend to feel light or tippy in high-speed sections.   There is no better way to improve on-track stability than to add width, and with the Hazard wheels, sweeping through the high-speed corners gets a little easier.   Wheel profile, interior and exterior ribbing and spoke design were all areas of focus while creating the combination of durability, clearance, functionality and appearance.   With the black color and a matte face appearance, being unique is worry free as practically any paint scheme can be matched to these exciting new wheels.   The hassle-free and lightweight 1-piece design creates the ultimate race and show wheel for any competition.
Features:
• Original 1:1 inspired JConcepts Hazard 12mm hex design
• 3mm per side additional width in offset
• Direct bolt-on fit for the SC10B
• Durable design, finish and material
• Available in Black, White and Yellow with matte face appearance
• Hassle free and lightweight 1-piece design
• Devastatingly handsome

Adam Drake wins JBRL Nitro Round #8

This past weekend was the final round of the eight race JBRL Nitro Series held at Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus, CA. In the Expert buggy class qualifying would be extremely close on the small high bite track. Team Losi Racing driver Adam Drake would take round 1 TQ in the early morning but would see that TQ slip away in round 2 as the track got much faster and a few problems would see The Drake starting in the runner up position for the 25min A-main.
The start of the A-main was quite exciting as some of the pit guys were not ready for the start but the ton went anyways and all you saw were a bunch of cars getting thrown onto the straightaway. Fairly clean start for the circumstances and the top three on the grid had a great battle for the first half of the race. Adam Drake would take the lead at the halfway mark with his great fuel mileage (one stop in 25min) and never look back taking the win by just over 12sec. Teammates Cody smith and Jacob Haas had a great battle almost the entire race with Cody just betting our Jocob for 5th overall.

Renaud Savoya wins Perrifeu GP

Back to the homeland! First week end of November is every year the week end of Pierrefeu GP. Unfortunately this year the weather forecast was pretty rough and most of the international drivers didn’t make the trip to Southern France. Friday went great as we ran 3 rounds in dry conditions. I started with the setup I used in Surabay for C-netic challenge except for the shocks where I went softer due to the temperature. On Saturday, the forecast was rude for the afternoon so we started really early in the morning to clear at least one round. I knew I had to race clean and don’t crash as it could be the only round. It was the case as I TQed the round and by so, the overall.
It rained all night and also in the morning on Sunday. The organisers made a fanstastic job to pull away the puddles and dry the track with saw dust, as no one was expecting to race with such showers we had all night! I cruised all the 20minutes in my semi, to get number one on the grid for the main in front of Jerome Aigoin.
The first lap saw a 2 way battle between Jerome Aigoin and I as we switched positions twice. I finally took the leadership after a few corners and kept it until the 30 minutes tone!
Great week end and atmosphere, it feels good to be back home! Another great TQ and win in the bag, the way to go for confidence before the Worlds in a few weeks!
